Top 5 Photoshoot Locations in Victoria BC

Living on Vancouver Island, it’s easy to forget how lucky we are with our variety of beautiful landscapes. A quick drive in any direction takes you to the beach, forest, city, mountains, lake…not many people can say that about where they live!

This also makes our home one of the best places for beautiful photoshoots. I’m sharing my top 5 favorite photoshoot locations across Victoria BC to help you plan your next photo shoot.

1 - Mount Douglas Park

Can’t decide between a forest, ocean, or city-view backdrop? Mount Douglas park really does have it all. The park area has a gorgeous field and plenty of trees for shade, while the beach is literally a few steps away.

At the end of a session, I love to take a drive up to the top of Mount Doug for some beautiful silhouettes or mountaintop shots!

2 - Gonzales Hill Regional Park

Gonzales Hill is a favourite for many reasons. First of all, the view of Victoria and the ocean is absolutely stunning. The unique observatory building at the park makes for cool angles and a neat backdrop. Golden hour atop Gonzales Hill is just so good.

3 - Hatley Castle

4 - Beacon Hill Park

P.S. Did I mention there is a petting zoo, and peacocks and ducks roaming around?!

5 - Albert Head Lagoon

I was recently introduced to this location by a client for a family shoot and it did not disappoint!

I tend to gravitate towards locations with lots of variety to give my clients a gallery full of variety.

Interested in booking a session with me at one of these locations? I would be honored to help capture your story! Bring your partner, family, friends, pets, and let’s create something special.
